What is a memory bear?
A memory bear is a handmade keepsake teddy bear created from meaningful clothing or fabric, such as a loved one’s shirt, baby clothes, uniforms, or other sentimental garments. Each bear is carefully crafted to preserve special memories and meaningful moments in a unique and comforting way. Memory bears can also be designed using fabrics that feature favorite sports teams, cartoon characters, hobbies, or other prints that reflect someone’s personality or interests.
What if I'm nervous about sending sentimental clothing?
It’s very normal to feel that way. These garments often carry precious memories. We handle every item with great care and respect, taking time to thoughtfully plan how the fabric will be used before any cutting begins. Our goal is to honor your memories while creating a beautiful keepsake you can treasure.
When can I expect my memory bear to be ready?
After receiving all fabrics, bears are completed and shipped within 20 business days, but more complex designs may take slightly longer. Once I review the details of your order, I will provide a more accurate timeline to ensure your bear is crafted with care and high-quality craftsmanship.

NOTE: Production times may be longer from Nov–Dec due to the number holiday orders we receive.
Do I have to pay to ship my clothes to Chootie Creations?
Because every order is different and the weight of clothing varies, we ask that customers cover the cost of shipping their fabrics to us. For local customers in the GTA, drop-off options are also available, please contact us to schedule an appointment.
The cost to ship your completed memory bear back to you is already included in your order, so you don’t have to worry about any extra fees for delivery.
How should I care for my teddy bear?
To maintain your teddy bear's quality, gently hand wash with mild soap and air dry, avoiding direct sunlight.
